An update from Calverleigh - Spring 2019

On 20 January a Thanksgiving for Holy Baptism service was held for Shirley Goldsworthy and was attended by family, church family and friends. It was a very moving service with Shirley giving a personal testimony.  A 'light lunch' was served in the hall afterwards where Shirley's 60th birthday was also celebrated.

February 3 was a Cluster service with Holy Communion and Baptism led by Steph. At this service Alyssa and Bobby were brought to Baptism by their parents Devon and Neil.  They were supported by many family and friends and welcomed into the church family where we wish them well at the beginning of their faith journey.

Also in February we joined with the rest of the Exe Valley for a special Praise Party at Calverleigh Village Hall. It was a time of fun for all ages, learning some new songs, a story about Zaccheus as well as crafts! The next one will be in June, so do come along to see what it's all about.

Our very best wishes go to anyone who has celebrated a special birthday, wedding anniversary or any other special occasions in recently.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been unwell, awaiting or undergoing treatment at this time.  We hope that you are all feeling much better soon.  We also think at this time of those who now live in residential or nursing homes and are unable to be a part of village and church life as they once were.

We also remember all those who have been bereaved recently and our thoughts are with you all at this sad and difficult time.
