Harvest Supper

Each of our parishes celebrate their Harvest Festival Weekends in September or October. Some of our churches hold a special Harvest Supper evening as a part of their celebrations.

Calverleigh Harvest Thanksgiving weekend: Sat 19th - Sun 20th Sept 2026

Calverleigh's Harvest Supper will take place on Saturday 19 September at 7pm in the village hall with Bring and Share supper, guest speaker and fun competitions.  

A Family Harvest Thanksgiving service will take place on Sunday 20 Sept at 10.45am followed by games and bring your own picnic, on the village green or in the hall.

There will be a collection of dried and tinned goods along with toiletries as part of our harvest celebrations for CHAT.  Boxes will be available in church by the font for any items you are able to donate.  These are always gratefully received by CHAT and distributed to those in need.

 

Templeton Harvest Festival weekend: Sat 3rd - Sun 4th Oct

This will begin with a three-course Harvest Supper at Templeton Village Hall on Saturday evening 3rd October – Tickets, £15.00 adults and £10 children, available from Lynda, William, Reg, Val, Ginah, Laurel and Bindy.

Harvest Festival will be at 10.45am on Sunday 4th October at St Margaret’s Church, Templeton, with donations displayed in the church for the Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT).

We would be grateful if you could bring any fresh fruit, vegetables, packaged or canned produce to the porch of St Margaret’s Church during the week before the service so that it can all be displayed around the church on the Sunday. CHAT is an amazing charity that provides a huge amount of support for local people who are homeless or in financial difficulties.
