Loxbeare Easter Round Up
Happy Easter to everyone. Our services begin with the cluster service with Calverleigh and Washfield joining us on Palm Sunday 5 April. Weather permitting we will be re-enacting Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on a donkey with a procession near the Church. On Tuesday 9 April Loxbeare will be hosting the Exe Valley Agape Meal. Please see middle pages for details of this and all Easter Services. Come & Join us as we reflect on Jesus' death, celebrate his resurrection and give thanks for his great love to us all.
The evening praise service recommences on the 17 May at 6.30. A warm welcome extended to all.
The APCM will be held on Thursday 23 April.
We wish Geoff & Jenny Parnell well as they move on to their new home and hope they will be very happy. We thank them for all their work producing the Today Magazine.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have had to stay in hospital or are waiting for operations or treatments. For Katie Barlow, Stephen Radford, Leslie Tidball and all who are feeling unwell. We pray too for the comfort of all who have lost loved ones recently.
We remember those who have been badly affected by the wet weather we have had all winter and trust by the time we are reading the magazine we shall be experiencing some lovey sunny days!. It is good though to see the spring flowers coming into bloom and helps to brighten our days.
We send our congratulations to Graham Radford and Abigail Hannam and also to William Miles (Ron & Margaret's grandson in Australia) and Ella on their recent engagements. We wish them all the happiness in their future lives together.
We welcome Nigel and Lucinda who have recently moved into the village and hope you will soon settle and be very happy living in Loxbeare.
The cream tees have been well attended on the 2nd Saturday of the month, The next ones will be 11 April and 9 May in the Village Hall 3-5pm.
The Bingo evening will be on the 6 April and the April social will be a Beetle Drive with a bring and share supper. Both in the Village Hall 7 for 7.30. Contact Carol 01884 881480
