News:

All church services suspended

Dear Parishioners,

This afternoon I have heard from Bishop Robert, and from our Archbishops, that church services and meetings in church are to be suspended, until further notice. This is to protect our safety. I would like to assure you that I will be praying for you all each day.

All our churches will be available for people to use during the day. There will be a Prayer focus in each church for those who wish to use it. If you would like to receive a weekly email with thoughts on the Bible passage for the day, please contact Dawn Williams, whose contact details are below, or via the Exe Valley Mission Community website. If you want pastoral support please get in touch by contacting the church office, or Dawn. Please let us know if you become unwell, or if you have to self isolate. If you need anything at all, please ask and we will try and help – or find someone who can.

The Archbishops have asked that Sunday 22 March, this coming Mothering Sunday, is designated a day of prayer. Please pray for our country, for the world, and for all those who are unwell or anxious. The Archbishops have asked us to light a candle and place it in a window at 7.00pm on Sunday. I hope that as many of us as possible will feel able to join in with this.

In addition, we have published two prayers to use at different times of the day, in our April-May edition of the Today magazine. It may be possible for me to record a weekly sermon or ‘thought for the week’, which you can access on the mission community website.

All of our parish churches have been around of a long time. They are built on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ who assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is ours in Christ Jesus.

May you be filled and surrounded by God’s love and peace.

Steph
