Jubilee Bring & Share Afternoon Tea
Calverleigh Village Hall
4th June 2022
3:00pm - 6:00pm
On 21 March, a meeting was held in the village hall to discuss arrangements for a celebration to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth during the extended Bank Holiday weekend of 2 - 5 June. Residents of Calverleigh and Lurley along with congregation members of St. Mary's Church were present.
At the afore-mentioned meeting It was agreed that a Bring & Share Afternoon Tea will take place on Saturday 4 June from 3 - 6pm. There will be a fancy dress competition for under 12s (please see flyers for entry details and return date), face painting, fun & games for all ages and a draw. If you would like to come along to the afternoon please contact Tatty Amory so that we have a good idea of numbers wanting to attend. There is no charge, except for the draw, but please bring along a plate of food (sweet or savoury), your own glasses and alcoholic drinks, if you wish. Tea, coffee and squash will be available.
On Sunday 5 June there will be a special celebratory service at St. Mary's at 10.45am to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
