Loxbeare November Round Up 2022

Although saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II, we feel very privileged as a nation that she has been our monarch for over 70 years.  The Queen lived a remarkable life and was a great blessing to us all.  She often acknowledged her faith & dependence on God.  In her 2002 Christmas broadcast, she said 'I know just how much I rely on my faith to guide me through the good times and the bad'.  May we be inspired by her life, her faith & trust in God.  We pray for King Charles III and all the Royal Family in their loss and may they too find God to be their peace & strength as they are led & guided by him.

Our Harvest Thanksgiving was postponed from 18 September to 2 October due to the special service remembering our Queen's life.  The harvest offering & donations of £255 was given to Tear Fund.  Thank you to all who gave produce, decorated the Church, led & took part in the service.

The Harvest Supper was held on Monday 3 October.  Thank you to those who provided such a lovely Harvest Supper & auctioned the produce, which with the sale of the tickets, raised £370 which was given to CHAT.  Thank you again for all who helped in any way over the weekend & Monday.

We are so thankful for the rain which has certainly revived the parched land & enabled the crops to recover.  Autumn is upon us & soon the winter months but we are grateful for the beauty of each season & provisions that will be needed.  We do indeed have much the thank God for.

A Church meeting will be held in the Hall at 19.00 on the 23 November.

The Remembrance Service will be at 10.50 on 13 November as we remember the sacrifice, some with their lives, now & in years past to keep countries free.  The offering will be given to the Royal British Legion.

20 November at 10.45 will be a Morning Praise Service.

11 December will be a Cluster Service with Holy Communion at 10.45.  This will be taken by Steph & will also incorporate our Carol Service.

On Christmas Eve at 18.00 will be a Communion Service taken by George Bell as we remember & give thanks to God for the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ our Lord.

We pray for all who are unwell, waiting for operations or treatments, and for those suffering the effects of Covid & other illnesses.
