This year’s theme is ‘Who Am I?’  We shall be learning about the stories of David from the shepherd boy, to his standoff with Goliath, to him becoming King and a musician. We shall be learning through songs, stories and activities that this year includes Lego.  In the afternoons we shall be taking part in crafts and sports.

After the Friday afternoon session which finishes at 3.30pm we are having a magician to entertain the children and we shall follow this with a celebration at 4.30pm to which families are invited to join us, followed by a family barbecue until 6.30pm
Sunday’s Celebration service will be at Calverleigh at 10.30 on Sunday 11thof August

This year we once again have ‘Prayer with a bear’ for the under 5’s, from 10.30 to 11.30 where you are welcome to join us, there will be a separate area for the younger ones to play and take part in an activity, whilst parents chat and have coffee. Safeguarding

The Exe Valley Mission Community is a community of nine churches and each church has a detailed Policy in place which meets the standard required by the Diocese. All those who are involved in work with, or come into contact with, vulnerable adults or children are required to undertake training at the appropriate level. This includes Church Council (PCC) members, clergy and the Safeguarding Officers for each parish. The training is provided by the Diocese and its aim is to set safeguarding in the context of the church, and to familiarise trainees with church and state legislation, policies and practice.

The Safeguarding Officer of each parish reviews the Policy every year and any changes are reported to the PCC.

A copy of the Policy is available from the Safeguarding Officer for the Mission Community, Cindy Trick, whose email is cindy@trickfamily.eclipse.co.uk
